APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The Clerk’s Office has prepared the minutes from the May 27th Regular meeting for consideration and approval.

This is for those that wish to address the Town Council but do not plan on staying for the whole meeting. There is a note to the public on the agenda to please keep their comments to a maximum of 5 minutes. This allows ample time for all whom wish to speak and keeps the meeting moving forward. The public can speak on any matter.
COUNCIL & MANAGER REPORTS
There is one Ordinance for public hearing and adoption:
Ordinance 2015-17 will amend the LOSAP points schedule for the Newton Volunteer First Aid Squad.
There are three ordinances for introduction:
Ordinance 2015-18 is a fully-funded capital improvement ordinance in the amount of $45,000 for improvements to the Newton Fire Museum.
Ordinance 2015-19 is an ordinance revising Section 307-55 of the Code to designate a portion of Spring Street as one-way. The Town has already adopted a comprehensive ordinance for designating Spring Street as one-way; however, the NJDOT requires an ordinance for strictly Spring Street for the Commissioner’s approval.
Ordinance 2015-20 is a bond ordinance appropriating funds for the Trinity Street lights, milling and paving project.
Resolution #84-2015* will transfer school monies from July 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015.
Resolution #85-2015 is a capital budget amendment, done in conjunction with Ordinance 2015-19 and Ordinance 2015-20 above.
Resolution #86-2015* will support the submission of the grant application for a Tonnage Grant for the NJ DEP.
Resolution #87-2015* will award the bid for the Resurfacing and Improvements to Spring Street Project to Tony’s Concrete.
Resolution #88-2015* will award the bid for the Traffic Signal Improvements for Trinity Street Project to FAI-GON Electric.
Resolution #89-2015* will award the contract for the milling and paving of Spring Street to Tilcon New York through the Morris County Co-op.
Resolution #90-2015* will approve bills and vouchers for payment.

THE WEEK IN REVIEW
Morris Lake was 6 inches below the top of the spillway on 6.3.15.
DPW worked this week on clearing the spillway at Dam site #2 from the beavers. Debi, Kenny, and Adam met with the Division of Fish and Wildlife to get a permit to trap the beavers. Where is Eddie Haskell when you need him the most?!
Invitations have gone out for the July 1st reorganization ceremony and reception.
I met with Adam and Chiefs Miller and Teets to discuss improvements to Firehouse #2. I will keep you posted as conditions warrant.
Caller ID has been ordered for our phone system thanks to the Clerk’s Office. Lorraine’s new office copier has been ordered as well.
We are reviewing new directory options here at Town Hall for the lobby.
Our condolences to Code Enforcement Director Nanette Crift on the passing of her mother Josephine Bruno.
Routine business discussed at the safety committee and administrative meetings.
We were able to secure an excellent price for the remaining electricity accounts this week at Wednesday’s online auction.
Jenn and I attended the HR CSC conference in West Windsor, NJ on Thursday. Some interesting ideas were discussed on HR improvements and streamlining of operations.
Pug Straway will be joining the team, supporting our Recycling efforts at the Center and working with Gary in the Parking Authority area – welcome aboard!
