The Zoning Board of Adjustment has seven regular members and one alternate member that are each appoined to a four-year term by the
Town Council.
Katherine Citterbart, Zoning Officer serves as secretary to the Zoning Board of Adjustment.

Responsibilities
The Zoning Board of Adjustment has the power to interpret the
zoning ordinances, which was modeled after the New Jersey Municipal Land Use Law (MLUL). The Board also considers:
- Petitions for relief from the restrictions imposed by Town ordinance
- Applications for appeal
- Interpretation requests
- Variance applications
All regular and special meetings are open to the public. Notice of application to the Board is provided by the applicant and can be found in the official newspapers of record, the
New Jersey Herald or the Sunday New Jersey Herald.
Forms
Prior to the occupancy of any commercial property, a review by the Zoning Officer is required. In some cases, Planning Board approval is required. Please review the
Site Plan Waiver Requirements and submit the required information along with the applicable fee to the Zoning Department located on the 2nd floor of the Municipal Building.
