The Treasurer is responsible for the accounting, pre-auditing, and control of all Town revenues and expenditures. The Treasurer is responsible for the safeguarding of the Town’s financial interests to the fullest extent.

Bill Payments
Bill payments are generated on the second and fourth Mondays of the month.
Accounts Payable
The Town of Newton uses a voucher system for accounts payable which requires approval of the Town Council at their regularly scheduled meetings.
Vendors
The state of New Jersey requires all vendors doing business with the Town to provide a copy of their business registration certificate. Additional information can be located on the New Jersey Division of Revenue's website.
