Town Hall closes at 3:30pm today in preparation for the 4:00pm holiday gathering.
Our next Town Council meeting is Monday, January 14, 2013 at 7:00pm.
Town Hall is closing at Noon on December 24th for Christmas Eve and closed on Christmas Day. TH is closed on New Year’s Day. The NFD Officers’ Swearing-In Ceremony is on New Year’s Day at Noon.

Congratulations to Deb and Chris Millikin on the birth of their baby boy, Cody William! We wish everyone well!
Performance evaluations have been completed with department heads.
Dates are scheduled and preparations made for the CWA and UPSEU contract negotiations. I am looking forward to a swift and amicable resolution to both contracts.
Work continues on the new flag poles on Spring Street, graciously donated by the Newton Rotary!
We met with the McGuire brothers this week to discuss their plans for the car dealership. As you know, they will be moving their operations to Hampton next fall/winter. We look forward to working with them on the successful revitalization of their property in 2013/2014.
The annual Prime Time Seniors Holiday Luncheon was extremely well attended. The mayor and I had a great time and appreciate the work done by Thea and her team in 2012.
Ursula Leo and I had a successful introductory meeting with all legal counsel team members for 2013. I look forward to working with each and every one of them – a great group!
I want to take this opportunity to thank all Newton staff and volunteers for a very productive and successful year. I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
