The Council approved the PILOT program for the Newton Town Centre senior housing project on Monday evening. The Planning Board gave preliminary site plan approval on Thursday evening. My thanks to everyone involved in this exciting $15 million investment in downtown Newton!
Fire Museum bids will be opened next week.
A reminder that the Historic District event will be held on Thursday, June 20th at 4:30pm here at Town Hall. All property owners in the Historic District have been invited to come learn more about the tax exemption program and the major changes made to the historic district ordinance including the list of approved alternate materials. My thanks to Debi, Jessica, Jennifer and Scott for their assistance.
The Mack is Back! Congratulations to Dan Finkle and Jay Phlegar for their efforts in securing the loan for the Fire Museum organization to obtain the 1948 NFD Mack 85 LS apparatus. She is now resting well in the bay that was once her home. Donations can be made to the Newton Fire Museum to help offset the cost of the loan.
Stay safe and have a great weekend!
