All potential candidates must reside and be registered voters in the Town of Newton.  Petition packets can be picked up in the Municipal Clerk’s office of the Municipal Building at 39 Trinity Street.  Signatures on petitions must be from registered voters who reside in the Town of Newton.  A person is allowed to sign one petition for each vacancy. There are two (2) vacancies.  

Petitions must be filed by 4:00pm on Monday, August 31, 2020 to be eligible for the November 3rd Election.

Deadline to register to be eligible to vote in the November Election is Tuesday, October 13, 2020..
